Georgetown University Visits Oppie Yaart

Georgetown University students studying social transformation in South Africa attended Oppie Yaart, a Queer Food Growing Collective community garden. Students engaged directly with Queer Food Growing Collective community leaders, Lucy and Melissa, understanding the complexity of queer systemized oppression within South Africa and the opportunity for empowerment by returning to the healing power of memory within the land and community gardens.
